The category was originally called Functional Art, however when Lloyd Herman accepted our invitation to be a juror we of course asked for his advise as to what would be a more appropriate and current name. He offered a few suggestions and we mutually decided on Repurposed Materials in Art & Design. So this is where artists who are drawn to work primarily with found objects can reach for their highest potential. We will simply let your imagination be the guideline. If your work is 3-dimensional you may submit a maximum of three images to show your work and you will have to put them in a Zip file as our entry platform can only accept one item per entry.

Originality and artistry of style and imagery
Technique and skill
Materials (did you use recycled and earth friendly materials where possible)
Please send us digital images of your works in JPEG format 72 dpi is suitable for online viewing. Make sure that you put a title, then your name on each file, and please be consistent with what you put on the entry form. You are allowed up to 200 words to describe your work, and the materials you used is very important in this category. There is a field for descriptions or songwriting lyrics on the entry form.
