Songwriting

In the tradition of Sting's song: Fragile, U2's song: Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World, Jackie DeShannon singing: What the World Needs Now is Love, Sweet Love ~ We are ultimately wanting to create a new genre of music that actually includes all genres but with a strong ecological theme. Ecology simply means the interrelationship of all living organisms to their/our environment! In our high tech world are we losing touch with that which ultimately sustains us? Don't we all need fresh air, clean water and rich soil? Its also very much about how we as stewards of our planet are acting towards each other as all that impacts on field! 

Selection criteria to be a finalists, and or achieve first, second or third place will be:

• Orginality and impact of ecological theme.
• Lyrics
• Melody
• Arrangement
• Overall Likeability
• Production/Record Quality and vocal ability are not criteria

Please use the upload field in our entry form to submit your MP3.  Please make sure your CD is in MP3 format. It is important to write out the lyrics for each song entered and cut and paste them into the field provided on the entry from.  You can mail in your lyrics and song(s) on a cd or upload on entry form. We are accepting all songs in any genre i.e. Rock, Pop, Country/Americana, Folk, Blues, etc. IT IS IMPORTANT TO PUT THE TITLE OF YOUR SONG ON YOUR MP3, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE US A TRACK #.
